PMI Webinar. 6th April 2017 Virtual Leadership in Projects 6th April 2017 at 12pm Main Speaker: Dr Penny Pullan

In this interactive webinar, Dr Penny Pullan will explore the world of virtual working that so many project managers find themselves in today. With virtual teams and global projects, how can we present ourselves authentically in the world of conference calls, video conferencing and shared screen meetings? With many of us working far away from colleagues, suppliers and clients, how do we form strong connections and communicate deeply? In our fast paced world of work, where multi-tasking is the norm, how do we engage people virtually when they are likely to be distracted and pulled away by everything else that is happening around them? In a world of multiple cultures, how do we make sure that our communication lands properly and makes sense to others who come from different places and have different experiences?

Penny has been grappling with virtual work since 9/11 forced her to launch a global programme via a virtual meeting rather than the planned face-to-face kick off in New York. She will draw on her experience and her ideas on virtual project leadership to share helpful hints and tips to help you form answers to these questions. You can expect a very interactive session so please come with your own experience, stories and input to share. You can expect Penny to touch on: identify tools, leadership, mindset, language, cultures, technology, time zones and more.
